The Shootout in Liberty Foothills Firearms Training Center now offers advanced skill shooters the opportunity to train on Action Target's reactive steel target systems. This is not a match nor class training but rather individuals practicing at their own pace on the systems they choose under the supervision of a Range Safety Officer. See these videos: Dueling Tree Plate Rack SAFETY will be the number one concern on the range. Each shooter will be responsible for maintaining muzzle and trigger management at all times. The number one range rule is: On target on trigger, off target off trigger. Do not remove any loaded firearm from your vehicle. Shooters will be given time to put on and adjust all equipment and load magazines and speed loaders on the shooting range. Each shooter will provide their own equipment; strong side holster, approved firearm, standard velocity ammo, wrap around eye protection, hearing protection, safe clothing, and safe footwear. Calibers will be limited to: .380, 9mm, .38 Special, 40 S&W, 10mm, and .45. Semi-auto handguns must have a slide that locks to the rear after the last round in a magazine is fired. All guns will be checked for safety. No tobacco products or alcoholic beverages will be used on the range property. Shooters may bring coolers, snacks, drinks, hydration system, or chairs for their comfort. Date for The Shootout will be October 23, 2010. The Range property will be open for preparation at 8:30 AM and shooting will began at 9:00 AM and continue until 12:00 PM. There is no limit as to the number of rounds a shooter can shoot during the time given. The cost is $25.00 per shooter for the entire three hours. Pre-registration is strongly suggested and can be done with a credit card prior to 7:00 AM the day of the event or check prior to and at the event.
