You can use your own approved gun and ammo or pay $12.00 to use our range gun and ammo. Also, you may furnish your own photos and fingerprints or pay $15.00 to have a technician take them at the class. Property Act (Chapter 11, Title 16, Article 6) Qualified Non-resident Concealed Weapons Permit: A
qualified non-resident is an individual who owns real property in South
Carolina, but who resides in another state. A qualified non-resident can be
issued a South Carolina Non-resident Concealed Weapons Permit by submitting a
completed original application, two completed fingerprint cards, one current
full face color photo, photo copy of state’s driver’s license, proof of
training, a check or money order in the amount of $50.00, and a Form 168 (9/06)
completed by the County Assessor where the real estate property is located. Application Changes: It is no longer required for
applicants to have their “proof of residence”, Drivers License or ID card,
notarized when applying for the South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit. Also,
traffic offenses no longer need to be reported individually. Applicants who have
traffic violations on record need only to answer “yes” to the criminal record
question on the application and add the statement; “ I have traffic violations”.
No other documentation is needed for traffic violations. CWP Renewals: CWP's expire at mid-night on the expiration date shown on the permit. It is unlawful to carry a concealed weapon after the expiration of the permit. SLED is currently sending all CWP holders a renewal packet 45 to 60 days prior to expiration of the permit. You can now renew your CWP online if nothing has changed by going to this site: Renew Online To renew the permit by mail the permit holder must submit the following to SLED: 1) A completed application. 2) A photocopy of a valid SC Driver's License or SC Identification Card. Address on DL/ID must match address on application. 3) A photocopy of the applicants Concealed Weapons Permit 4) A check or money order in the amount of $50. made payable to: South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Note: Training is required if the CWP has expired more than 60 days. Note: Active Duty Military must submit a full face color photo no larger than 3" X 5". Lost or Stolen CWP and Change of Address: Permit holders must notify SLED immediately if their permit is lost or stolen. Permit holders must notify SLED within 10 days of a change of address. Complete the Concealed Weapons Permit Duplication/Replacement Form: Concealed Weapons Permit Duplication/Replacement Form Reciprocity: Arizona has been added to the states with which South Carolina has reciprocity making twelve states in all. South Carolina now has reciprocity with Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming. Concealed Carry in Georgia: Georgia does NOT recognize South Carolina's Concealed Weapons Permits. If you want to carry in Georgia you can get a New Hampshire Non-resident Pistol Permit and that is recognized by Georgia. To get the New Hampshire Non-resident Pistol Permit you first must have your South Carolina CWP, then complete the form on this link: http://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/nhsp/ssb/permitslicensing/documents/dssp260.pdf . Pickens County Range - From
Easley, take SC Hwy. 8 approximately 4 miles towards Pickens. Turn left on
Breazeale Road. Drive ½ mile beyond SC Dept. of Transportation Maintenance Shop
and turn left on Porter Rd. Go approximately ½ mile, turn left at the red gate.
The range is located at the end of the gravel road.
